Heat around the cabinet is the most common reason a freezer starts running nonstop and still drifts warm.

Cooktops come in three very different technologies. Gas depends on clean burner ports and a strong spark; radiant electric uses elements under glass governed by switches; induction relies on power electronics and cooling fans under the glass. So the damage collects in predictable places: on dishwasher and washer heating elements, in the fine mesh at the water valve inlet, around pressure and level sensors, and in ice-maker fill tubes. A dishwasher that stopped drying, a washer throwing fill errors and cubes coming out small or hollow are all worth checking for scale before anyone orders a board.

Heat finds the weak link. A condenser fan that has been slowing for months finally stalls; a start relay that was marginal gives up on the first triple-digit afternoon. The part was already on its way out, and the weather simply finished it.
That is the case for booking early. A refrigerator making a new noise in April is a routine fan or relay job; the same refrigerator in August, after the compressor has been cooking for weeks, can be a far bigger repair in Los Angeles County.
