About TrueFix Los Angeles
Find the fault. Explain it. Then fix it.

TrueFix Los Angeles repairs household and commercial appliances across Los Angeles: refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers, ovens, ranges and more. Every visit follows the same order: we find out what's actually wrong, tell you in plain terms, and only start the repair once you've approved it.

What we do

We repair the appliances people rely on every day, in homes and in businesses. That covers 12 appliance categories and 48 brands, from the everyday names in most kitchens to built-in refrigeration, European laundry and commercial ice and refrigeration equipment.

On the residential side, that means houses, apartments, condos, townhomes, ADUs and rental units. On the commercial side, it means restaurants, cafés, bars, hotels, offices, laundromats and property managers looking after multi-unit buildings.

Los Angeles shapes the work. Laundry often lives in a hot garage, backyard units run compact and stacked machines, buildings have their own rules for parking and elevators, and water hardness changes from one neighborhood to the next. We take those details into account when we diagnose and when we recommend a fix.

How we work

A few principles behind every visit, whether it's a dryer in a Van Nuys garage or an ice machine behind a bar in Silver Lake.

1

Diagnose before anything else

A refrigerator that's warm could have a fan, a defrost, a control or a sealed-system problem. We test until we know which, because replacing parts on a hunch is how repairs get expensive.

2

Explain it so it makes sense

You'll hear what failed, why it probably failed, and what the repair involves, in plain English. If it helps, we'll show you the part.

3

You approve before work begins

You get the price for the repair once we know what it is. Nothing is replaced until you've agreed to it, and if you'd rather not go ahead, that's your call.

4

Honest about repair vs. replace

Some appliances aren't worth fixing. When the numbers or the condition of the machine point to replacement, we say so plainly instead of selling a repair that won't last.

5

Work that's checked before we leave

After a repair we run the appliance and check that the original problem is actually gone, not just that the new part is installed.

6

Treat the place with care

Floors protected, the work area cleaned up, and building rules followed, whether that's a loading-dock sign-in downtown or keeping clear of a neighbor's driveway on a narrow hillside street.

What brings people to us

Usually something has stopped working and the household, or the kitchen, can't wait long. Sometimes it's a second opinion before replacing an appliance they'd rather keep. Typical requests look like this:

  • The refrigerator is warm, the freezer is frosting over, or the ice maker has quit
  • The washer won't drain or spin, or it leaks onto the laundry-room floor
  • The dryer runs but doesn't heat, or takes two cycles to dry a load
  • The dishwasher leaves dishes dirty, won't drain, or shows an error code
  • The oven won't reach temperature, or a burner won't light
  • A walk-in, reach-in or ice machine is struggling in a commercial kitchen

For property managers and landlords

A large share of Los Angeles rents, and many appliances belong to the owner rather than the tenant. We coordinate access with tenants, follow building procedures, and send you a clear description of what we found and what we recommend, so you can approve the work without a site visit of your own.

For restaurants and businesses

When a reach-in or ice machine goes down, it affects service. We try to schedule around your hours, and we tell you whether the cause was a failed part or something maintenance can prevent, like a clogged condenser or scale buildup.
